How it works

  1. 1

    Build your library

Add the products you actually buy, with brand, photo and macros per 100g. Energy in kJ converts to kcal as you type.

  2. 2

    Create meals by grams

Search your library, set real quantities and see total weight, batch kcal, per-serving kcal and the macro split instantly.

  3. 3

    Make it and track it

Cook a meal for specific people at breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack. Pantry stock drops and daily targets update.

Frequently asked questions

How is kcal calculated from kJ?
MealMate divides kilojoules by 4.184, the standard conversion factor, so a 100g value of 1000 kJ becomes 239 kcal.
Can I enter values per serving instead of per 100g?
Macros are stored per 100g for consistent maths, and you record the serving size in g or ml separately. Meals then scale to whatever weight you use.
Do I need to add everything to the pantry first?
No. You can add pantry stock while making a meal, or send missing ingredients straight to your grocery list.
Can more than one person use the same library?
You keep one library and add people with their own daily kcal and macro targets, then log each cooked meal against the people who ate it.
